Paralegal, Commercial Property

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join and facilitate the growth of our award-winning Commercial Property team based at Stockton.

About the role

The team has twice been the winner of the Property Law Firm of the Year Award at the North East  Insider Property Awards and has been awarded Commercial Property Team of the Year three times at the Northern Law Awards.  It prides itself on delivering a first class tailored service to clients and has a combined total of over 100 years’ experience, with the specialist knowledge and commercial awareness to complete projects on time and within budget.

Our clients range from private individuals to multi-national PLCs, and we assist them with all aspects of commercial property including landlord and tenant matters, secured lending, development work and more.

Our friendly and supportive Commercial Property team has a presence at both our modern, open plan offices in Stockton on Tees and Newcastle city centre.

This is a busy and varied role, and the main duties will primarily include:

  • Drafting and negotiating legal documentation for one of our key clients
  • Handling a mixed caseload from conception to completion
  • Developing professional relationships to assist with the growth of our client base
  • Providing support to team members as required

About you

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within commercial property, or possibly residential property
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • The ability to work to deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Drive to broaden areas of expertise and be able to work effectively, both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • The ability to travel to the firm’s Newcastle office on an occasional basis, in line with the needs of the business.
