We have dealt with two departments at Jacksons within the last year.

Firstly, as executors we needed advice on administration of an Estate. One of the beneficiaries tried to contest the Will and challenged our actions and the Estate expenses.

We received advice from Karl Medd. He was a great support to us and helped us make informed choices about the way forward. Karl was great at explaining the options, potential consequences and costs of the available options. Karl has a very measured and level headed approach. We particularly appreciated this as emotions were running very high. We appreciated his sensitive advice as we were keen not to escalate a very difficult situation.

On the day of completion of the sale of the deceased’s property, there was a complication. Karl was easy to contact and extremely responsive and helped us achieve completion.

Secondly, we took advice from Ellie McGavigan regarding our Wills and setting up a trust. Ellie was fabulous at explaining trusts to us in a way that we actually understood – such a relief!  It was a pleasure to speak to someone who could explain things in an accessible way without being patronising.

It has been refreshing to deal with a law firm that responds in extremely quick timescales, is not adversarial and looks for the best outcomes for clients rather than those which deliver the greatest profit.
